EngABC is a browser-based study aid for YouTube videos that already provide English captions. It offers caption display, navigation, search, looping, playback speed controls, translation display, and word definitions.
3. License and content rights
You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use EngABC for lawful personal purposes. This license does not grant any ownership of EngABC or any right to download, copy, republish, or distribute video, audio, or caption content supplied by third parties.
4. Your responsibilities
You must use EngABC lawfully and comply with the terms of YouTube, Youdao Dictionary, Chrome, and other applicable third-party services. You must not interfere with the extension, the platforms it accesses, or other users.
5. Third-party services
EngABC relies on third-party services, including YouTube for video and caption data and Youdao Dictionary for requested word definitions. Their terms and privacy practices apply independently. EngABC is not endorsed by or affiliated with these services.
6. Availability and changes
Caption availability, translation quality, and feature operation depend on each video, network conditions, browser behavior, and third-party interfaces. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
7. Disclaimer
EngABC is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation to the extent permitted by applicable law. Translations and definitions may contain errors and are not professional advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the EngABC developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from your use of or inability to use EngABC or third-party content.
9. Termination and updates
You may stop using EngABC at any time by uninstalling it. We may update these Terms when the product or applicable requirements change; the effective date above identifies the current version.
